Alternative Fall Break

stock-photo-3888314-pumpkins-with-fall-leavesIf you are looking to give back to the community and don’t have anything to do for fall break, here is your opportunity!  IMPACT, a community service organization here at USC Upstate, is hosting Alternative Fall Break. Alternative Fall Break is a community service opportunity that will be held in Atlanta, Georgia and will focus on gang violence and youth in gangs. IMPACT members will also be taking a community service trip to York, South Carolina to a shelter for children that are in need of intensive treatment.

Julie Holt, Vice President of IMPACT says, “Volunteering creates a sense of community.” Giving back and volunteering is important because you get to help others and make the community a better place for everyone.

This year’s Alternative Fall Break will take place October 17-19. If you are interested in attending, you can fill out the application HERE. Students will be chosen based on the amount of people that can be taken on the trip. If you would like to know any other information about the trip or about IMPACT, you are welcome to go to any member meetings held on Mondays at 5 p.m. or you can email them at impact@email.uscupstate.edu.  It is never too late to help make the community a better place!
