Club Art and Design offered viewers the chance to witness as students painted a mural live on the walls of the Kathy Hicks Visual Arts Center (KHVAC) Wednesday March 19, 2014.  CAD president Lanie Whitaker, along with Junior Ana Cordoba and Chuck Bailie, headed the production. While president Whitaker helped paint, Ana was the mural designer and Chuck was the mural director.

Though CAD were the sponsors of the event, co-sponsors Sherwin Williams and Porter Paints of Spartanburg helped make the event possible. “The experience has been wonderful. Partnering with a local professional muralist (Bailie) and having a student/CAD member (Ana Cordoba) design the mural has made for the perfect combination.” Whitaker stated. She continued, “Club Art & Design is so excited to be able to make a lasting mark on visual arts center and create the opportunity for other students around campus to see this beautiful work”

The mural will be completed in the upcoming weeks and can be seen on the backside of the KHVAC.
